Our new property in Nookachamp Hills development. X marks the spot where the new house will sit.
The digging finally began in July. This photo is taken from above, showing the view we'll have of the valley below, including a dairy!
Christi sitting down in the basement! We were worried when they found this rock, fearing it might extend too deep or too far into the walls. But when the excavator finally pulled it out, we found the ground was exactly at the level we needed, and it hugged the corner where they were digging--our "cornerstone"!
We've named it Ebenezer, taken from the Bible in 1 Samuel 7:12: "Then Samuel took a stone and set it up. . . and called its name Ebenezer, saying "Thus far the Lord has helped us."
The excavator pulls "Ebenezer" out of the basement!
Before they poured the foundation, we dropped in slips of paper with Bible verses written on them.
